If you recognize the importance of ensuring the parts you get are in fact, the exact parts you requested, then you should ensure that your supplier meets the following qualifications:

1. Has high technical knowledge and understanding of the RCP Motor, and each and every component that comprises its system.
    

2. Has a very knowledgeable background from training and education on the components of the RCP Motor.  Knowledge and training that can only come from the OEM.
    

3. Dedicated to ensuring that original OEM standards, specs and quality requirements are maintained.
    

4. Ensures that all components are provided to original specs, and not merely offers what they believe is the part you require.
    

5. Is your supplier the real source, or are they merely going to a reputable source (such as Habsco) and providing you with the part.
    

6. Does your supplier use terms such as “equivalent”, “reverse-engineering”, “licensee”, or “the number of similar motors we’ve serviced”, that all merely mean the same thing;  they can not certify, 100%, that you are getting exactly what you asked for.

Suppliers who don’t meet these qualifications are available, and are willing to take the chance and provide you with  parts…….Are you willing to take a chance, now that you know?
